TGIF!

So...this is my first time blogging from my phone. Let's see how this goes.

I just got off work. Yes, it is 7:40am and I worked last night. Ugh. I am quick to remember why I work day shift now! Can. Not. Hold. Eyes. Open. I am killing time right now waiting for the camera store to open so I can pick up a lens. It is 2 miles from the hospital so I figured I'd wait down here rather than drive all the way home just to come back down here once I wake up. They open at 9:00. I have to wait another hour. Longest hour of my life.

We are headed to Charlotte tonight, after we pick up Abi. We haven't seen her in so long! Tomorrow Austin has some Windy Peak work to do in CLT and Abi and I are going to love on baby Caroline. So excited to see those sweet cheeks!! And Peyt and Liss, too. :)

Saturday night we are heading to Danville, one hotel to the next, so we are there Sunday afternoon for sweet Isabella's first birthday. A weekend full of BABIES! I like it. A lot.

My eyes are starting to burn.

Last nights dinner

I made something amazing last night. Truly. Amazing. I thought so anyway. Chicken parmesan in the oven! So fast and so easy. Check out the recipe here. There is a nice little video you can watch so you are sure not to mess it up. I will say this though...I should of butterflied my chicken breasts. The recipe says 350 degrees for about 35 minutes, or until the chickens are fully cooked. Well, at 35 minutes the top of my dish was perfect, but the chickens were still half raw. I ended up cooking mine for about 65 minutes total because the chickens were so fat. When I realized it wasn't going to be done in time I added a little more tomato sauce so my cheese didn't burn. I also halved the recipe since it was just Aus and me. Anyway, SO super easy and SO delicious. Please try it and let me know your thoughts! :)

Kimmy and Clif's engagement party!

Kimmy and Clif...engaged to be married! Last weekend we were able to celebrate Frannie and her baby on the way and also Kimmy and Clif and their upcoming wedding! Their wedding will be May 12th, 2012 and will be at the Greenbrier in West Virginia. You can see more about the Greenbrier from this post when we were there last summer. It is definitely a fabulous place and I can't wait to go back!

I think this was Blairs reaction when I told her it was time to go home. haha

Baby Uitto will be here so so soon!

This past Saturday we had sweet Fran's baby shower in Danville. We had a great turn out with all her best friends and close family and I'm pretty sure everybody had a fun time! We snacked on a few treats, played a few games and Fran opened lots of presents! For the games, we played don't call me "baby" where you aren't allowed to say the word "baby" the entire shower. Each guest got a clothespin when they walked in and if someone caught them saying "baby" they had to forfeit the clothespin. The winner at the end of the shower had like 15 clothespins! We also played "name that (baby) tune." I made a CD of 15 songs that all had the word baby or babe in the title and then played the first 5-10 seconds of each song. It was definitely a hit - especially with the older crowd! :)
