26 weeks

How far along: 26 weeks!

Size of baby: A head of lettuce

Total weight gain/loss: Lets go with 22 lbs...or more considering we just ate our hearts out in Savannah for 4 days straight! ekk

Maternity clothes: Yessss

Gender: Sweet baby boy! James Austin Green!

Movement: Lots of movement and we are able to watch him move and I think I can feel his feet sometimes. It's so crazy/cool and I still can't get over that there is a real life baby inside me. What a miracle.

Sleep: Sleeping well still.

What I miss: Not much really...feeling a little uncomfortable sometimes and missing alcohol...especially while vacationing!

Cravings: Pickles, cucumbers, OJ and yogurt, can't get enough.

Best moment this past week: Our babymoon of course! We had soooo much fun and it was so nice to relax and do a whole lot of nothing for 4 days. I'm going to blog about it ASAP!

Symptoms: My hand still goes numb, swelling in my feet and hands, especially the left side, odd.

What I'm looking forward to: My baby showers in a few weeks!!!

Milestones: His eyelashes are formed and his eyes will open next week!

Mood: happy and getting so excited. 13 and a half weeks to go seems SO soon!!

Labor Signs: negative

25 Weeks!

How far along: 25 weeks and approaching the 3rd trimester! The weeks are flying by it seems.

Size of baby: A head of cauliflower

Total weight gain/loss: probably getting close to 20 lbs

Maternity clothes: Definitely but I do wear the occasional non maternity top or stretch pants, especially around the house. My regular tee shirts are quite amusing.

Gender: Sweet baby boy! James Austin Green!

Movement: All the time and it's great. He is moving all the time and I'm beginning to wonder if this kid ever sleeps. Ohhhh no.

Sleep: Sleep is still awesome. Thank you God for that! But I do have some craaaaazy dreams, some dreams I wish I would NOT dream about.
What I miss: Nothing really. I do miss the ease of bending over to pick something up off the ground. It just kind of hurts now. And I'm start to feel large and uncomfortable. Ahhhhhh and we still have so long to go!
Cravings: Chick-fil-A's new chocolate chip cookies. OMG. I should have never been introduced to those. They are seriously the most perfect chocolate chip cookie ever made AND they come warm. Please go have one and tell me about it. I am 100% obsessed!!
Best moment this past week: Working on the nursery a bit more and finding furniture for our new office. We legit have a project going on in every single room of our house except our master bedroom. Lord help me! We are totally out growing this house way faster than I thought...I sure hope we can make it another 3-4 years like we planned.

Symptoms: No new symptoms really, just this thing called weight gain. Awesome. And my ankles are definitely swollen after I work all day. And my hands some days too.

What I'm looking forward to: Leaving for our Babymoon this Thursday! We will be spending 4 nights in Savannah and I can. not. wait for some serious R&R with Aus!

Milestones: He has a sense of an equilibrium now and knows which way is up and which is down. He is also growing more hair and fat and if we could see it we could tell the color of his hair. Neat!

Mood: happy and getting sooo excited to meet our baby

Labor Signs: negative

Wedding rings on or off: on

Oh, and no pics this week. :( I haven't had any time to do the chalkboard and I haven't taken the first pic with my phone! geez! I will have LOTS of pics next week after our trip!

Christmas 2012

We had an awesome Christmas this year but it went by waaaay too fast. Austin and I both had to work Christmas Eve but once we got off we drove straight to the lake to be with all the Green's. It was so nice being together, even it was only for 48 hours.

Christmas Eve night Leila was down digging in the basement and found a box of Peyt and Austins art/letters/reports cards/random kid stuff etc. and brought it upstairs. We went through it and almost died laughing. I have not laughed that hard in so long! Austin had one particular letter to the tooth fairy that had us all on the floor.

The day after Christmas we drove to Fayetteville to see my family and spent 2 days with them. We had a great time and stayed super busy. On Friday Austin went to Danville to go hunting and killed his first buck! I'm not sure why exactly but I feel a little proud. :) Mom and I got lots of nursery stuff finished and the room is now totally empty! wahoo!
NYE was pretty awesome as well...just the two of us. We shopped and ran errands most of the day and then came home and cooked a feast. Deer burgers, shrimp, grilled veggies, pasta salad and the most amazing creamy banana pecan pie. Ohhhh man.

Sweet Caroline...getting so big!

24 weeks preggo!

How far along: 24 weeks!

Size of baby: An ear of corn or a cantaloupe depending on which website you look at.

Total weight gain/loss: went to the doctor today...17 pounds

Maternity clothes: Oh yea, and Santa brought me lots of new ones!

Gender: Sweet baby boy! James Austin Green!

Movement: All the time and I love it!

Sleep: Sleeping really good still. Had one restless night this week but I think it's because Austin was out of town. (I know, kinda lame!)

What I miss: Well since it is New Year's Eve I am missing some glorious champagne. Or wine. Or shots. Whatever.

Cravings: My sweet tooth has been out of control! I'm hoping it's just Christmas and all the yummy treats that have been laying around.

Best moment this past week: Being with our families for Christmas. It always goes by so fast! We also made some nursery progress and the whole room is now empty and ready for paint. We built his little closet and I'll post a pic below.

Symptoms: My right hand keeps going numb. I talked to the doctor today and she said it was normal, just related to swelling or baby laying on certain nerves. She said it will probably get worse.

What I'm looking forward to: Our babymoon next week! Holy cow so soon!

Milestones: His nostrils are opening up (they have been plugged!) and his lungs are developing further. His skin is also becoming pinker, but it's still translucent.

Mood: happy and overwhelmingly blessed! ready for 2013!

Labor Signs: negative

Wedding rings on or off: on

My doctor appt went great...she said I got an A+ for this pregnancy so far! Baby's heart rate was 160 and he was moving like crazy. She said I was measuring right where I was suppose to be and my blood pressure was good too. She gave me the glucose drink so I will drink that before my next appt at 28 weeks to check for gestational diabetes. I'm sure that will be fine but I hope the drink goes down ok! After that apptointment we start going every 2 weeks, funnnnnnn!

24 weeks...thanks to my Mama for the chalkboard art this week!

Here is a before picture of the closet...

And after! We got the shelves at Home Depot and the blue baskets at The Container Store. I had looked for a while and these were perfect! Since his room is mostly gray and yellow with a little blue I wanted to tie more blue into the closet. I love how it turned out! (Shout out to my stepdad Bobby who built this! Don't know where I would be without all the handy men in my life!)

17, 20 and 24 week comparison.

Finished our Registry at Buy Buy Baby...glad to have that checked off the list!

23 weeks

How far along: 23 weeks!

Size of baby: A grapefruit! 10.5-11.8 inches long and weighs between 1 and 1.5 pounds.
Total weight gain/loss: Still don't really know, I'll find out when I go to the Dr next Monday.

Maternity clothes: Yepppp. And they are lovely.

Gender: Sweet baby boy! James Austin Green! All I can think about lately is what he is going to look like!

Movement: Oh yea! It's such an awesome feeling. I love it and dont' ever want him to stop!! Austin can feel him too so that is super fun.

Sleep: Sleeping really good still. He does wake me up sometimes in the morning but its a nice wakeup call. :)

What I miss: Nothing I can think of right now.
Cravings: this week it was apple sauce! I couldn't get enough. I ate one of those huge 32 oz jars in 4 days haha. and still craving orange juice like whoa. Sometimes in the mornings I feel like I'm going to choke on it I'm drinking it so fast!

Best moment this past week: Austin feeling the baby and seeing his excitment. Finishing our hardwood floors!! And receiving our sectional! AND seeing my Mama on Saturday for a few hours. We will be back in Fayetteville Wednesday to celebrate Christmas with everyone.

Symptoms: I guess I do have a lot of symptoms but don't really think about them. I still feel great but there are several little things going on. First, my gums - they bleed everytime I brush my teeth and my teeth felt super sensative the other night. My hand, I've been waking up in the mornings and my right hand is tingly and numb. It's probably related to his position and different nerves he is laying on. I also had a CRAZY BAD leg cramp the other night. It was like a charlie horse x10 radiating from my calf to my butt. Holy cow. I woke up screaming and shot out of bed. Also, I noticed yesterday when I took off my socks from working all day my ankles were swollen! Ew! Ok I think thats about all :)

What I'm looking forward to: Christmas tomorrow!!!

Milestones: He has little nipples now! aww. And his face is fully formed. He is also listening to my voice and heartbeat and loud sounds like car horns and dogs barking.

Mood: happy! and super sensative. watch out :/

Labor Signs: negative

And the first ever...bare belly pic.
Floors are finished!! Still have to do the shoe moulding around the edge but hey, they are FINISHED!
Love the new sectional! It is soooo comfy! We are still hunting for the perfect rug and a new accent chair.
Merry Christmas Eve!!!!!!!!

22 Weeks

How far along: 22 weeks!

Size of baby: A papaya. Baby weighs about 1 pound now!

Total weight gain/loss: I don't really know, I'll find out when I go to the Dr a few days after Christmas. I'm guessing 15-16 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: Yep. This answer isn't changing really so I'm not sure of the point of keeping it on this here little survey.

Gender: Sweet baby boy! James Austin Green! James after my dad and Austin after my husband...the two best men in my life. Perfect! :)

Movement: He is kicking up a storm. It's so fun to feel him and I can tell when he is awake and sleeping. Apparently he sleeps about 12-14 hours a day.

Sleep: Sleeping really good. I have crazy energy during the day and sleep like a gem at night. So glad for this!!

What I miss: Nothing much really. Kind of miss going out with friends and having a few drinks, especially around the holidays!

Cravings: pickles and fudge rounds. haha random

Best moment this past week: Almost finished our hardwood floors. I will post a few pics below. And making some nursery progress. We ordered the glider! OH. And we  booked our BabyMoon!!!

Symptoms: not much of anything new. I'm not even having nasal congestion anymore, woohoo! My only symptom really is this growing belly and my growing boobs! Whoa!

What I'm looking forward to: Christmas!!!! Can't wait to see both of our families!!!

Milestones: apparently baby really looks like a baby now and is called a "mini newborn" and he is sleeping in cycles.

Mood: happy! what else is new? I have been a little more emotional too. Not really sad but I definitely cry easier than before. This CT shooting has really been rough.

Labor Signs: negative

Wedding rings on or off: on

OK so...we booked our baby moon! We are super excited!!! We're going to Savannah, GA for 4 nights and leave in about a month! We are going mid January and hoping the weather isn't too brutally cold. We are staying at a cute little bed and breakfast called The Dresser Palmer house. We plan to relax in our cozy room, shop, eat (a lot!!) and do a few of the touristy things. Aus is also going to take a few maternity pictures of me while we are there because there are some awesome photo spots. Should be super fun!!

Also, we registered last week and I just need to take a minute and tell y'all how awesome the staff at Buy Buy Baby was. I'm not going to lie, I was kind of dreading the madness of walking around that store but they made it fun and they were sooo helpful. I have been to Babies R Us a handful of times (mostly before I was expecting to buy gifts for people) and had an AWFUL taste in my mouth. Nobody was helpful, the staff was rude and acted like I was crazy because I asked for help finding a certain bottle out of 97234 bottles on the shelf. I really felt like the girls at Buy Buy Baby cared about me and wanted to help me. They kept us laughing like crazy! And they seriously took 30 minutes talking about my bedding and nursery colors while we decided on the glider chair fabric. I feel like those girls were my friends and I could talk to them like a friend which made it so much better. I HIGHLY recommend Buy Buy Baby over Babies R Us, mostly for their awesome customer service but the products and gear are a little better too. Just my two cents and advice for anyone debating about where to register!

The chalkboard is back in action!

Another pic from over the weekend

Floors are looking good! So happy with how they turned out.

playing around with ideas!
