Going back...

...to the Greenbrier!! Aus and I are headed to Clif and Kimmy's wedding at the Greenbrier this weekend and I am SO excited. SO ready for a break and some serious party time!! We are headed to the lake tomorrow afternoon to stay a quick night with Aus' parents and then we will wake up Sat AM and drive to WV. I will be sure to post lots of pics when I return!! Here is one from our trip last summer that Aus took. 

 Last weekend Abi was here and we had some serious fun. The weather was kinda crappy so we opted out of going to the beach. We took her to Frankie's Fun Park for a few hours so she could play bumper boat, laser tag, sky walk and arcade it up for a bit. She had a fun time...and so did we! 

We watched the new Footloose Saturday night and it was SO good. I highly recommend it. I loved it, Abi loved and Austin even loved it! Go check it out...right now...seriously! 


I've almost finished two weeks of Body by Vi. I feel so much better already and I've lost 5 lbs! Wahoo! I hope to stick to it for the full 90 days. It's going to be a challenge for sure! I got this cute little blender to make my shakes at work. I love it and the top is a lid you drink out of so I drink it right out of there. Lovely. :)

I even got in a visit with sweet Claudia this week! She is so cute! I love going to Danville to visit my girls. I only wish they lived closer. I guess an hour away isn't too bad, though. :)

I'm headed to bed. Busy day tomorrow...gotta take Molly to the boarder, hair cut then hair color appointment (yes, two different places) eye brow wax, mani and pedi, run by the mall, then home to pack for the weekend. Suuuuper excited!!!!

Body by Vi and our weekend

We had a super fun little weekend. Peyt, Alissa and sweet Caroline came to see us! We hung out, went to the mall and to lunch, drank some good vino and ordered in pizza! Saturday evening we also headed down the road to one of our favorite session locations and had a quick shoot with the three of them. Caroline was so happy and smily for us. Well, that is if I stood behind Austin squeaking her giraffe and doing a little dance. :) I think she was quite entertained. 

Sunday we hung around the house and then went to lunch and they hit the road. I so badly wished they lived closer!! 

In other news, I started the Body by Vi challenge this week. Today (Wednesday) is day number 3. I had never heard of it but the other day I was reading Carter's blog and then I blog stalked over to Nickies blog and there I read about her challenge and her success! I was super impressed and knew this was something I needed to try. The shakes taste SUPER good...so that makes it easy. The one in the picture was a strawberry and banana shake and I think that combo is my favorite. There are tons of recipes online to try...so far I've had that one, blueberry, peaches and cream, birthday cake, and pineapple! Sounds pretty delish huh? It is!! I don't know you Nickie but thank you for blogging about your success! I hope to share my before and after pictures after the 90 challenge is over. (and yes, I took the before pictures and that was sheer torture.) 

So, you drink two shakes a day (breakfast and lunch) and then eat a healthy dinner. This week we've been eating grilled chicken with veggies and some type of potato. Not too shabby at all! Hoping I make it the 90 days! 

Sunday night was the last night before the "challenge" so we decided to go somewhere delish. We were downtown so we headed over to The Pit for BBQ. Have y'all ever been? It is ridiculously good. Not just the BBQ, but all the sides!! ahh. Let me just tell you what I ate: first we got BBQ fries which were fries with melted pimento cheese (Umm, hello party in my mouth), chives and BBQ ranch dressing. Then I got the BBQ plate...which was BBQ with Mac and Cheese and cheesy bacon grits. Hello carbs! It was freaking fantastic. 

We don't have much going on this weekend...maybe heading down to Carolina beach for the day if the weather is nice. I'm off to cook dinner now...see ya later friends! 

A little jibber jabber...

We got home from Myrtle Beach yesterday and finished our spring wedding rush. We now have a break...for a bit. We don't have any Windy Peak weddings in May, but we still have two to attend. We are excited to be wedding guests for a change! Still though, we won't have much of a wedding break.


We got up early and drove down to the beach on Saturday in hopes of getting some sun and a chance to play in the water. When we got there it was sunny and HOT but I swear as soon as we sat down in the chairs, opened our first beer and took our shirts off, the sun went away and it was freezing! Apparently a big cold front/mini storm was coming through. Awesome.

We still managed to have lots of fun though and went to dinner at The Chesapeak House (thanks Katie for introducing us to that one!) on Saturday night and I had the best crab legs of my life! Such a treat!

Sunday we worked all day...Laura and Ken had a gorgeous wedding at The Hilton and the weather was pretty cooperative. We manged to get a whole lot more pictures outside than I thought we would. It was suppose to rain all day and really only ended up raining right at ceremony time. Laura had reserved a tent, just in case, and she was verrrry glad she did! I'll be blogging about their wedding on the WPP blog by the end of the week.

Monday we hung around the hotel a bit and then went to lunch at Dick's. Ohhh that place cracks me up. The food is meh, but the service is definitely hilarious. Austin even got me to try fried alligator. I wasn't a huge fan. So I soaked it in ranch.

In other news....


Molly still won't go in her dog house. I'd say that was $150 well spent. 


This coming weekend we have two maybe three shoots and will just be hanging at home catching up on work in between. We have a maternity shoot Friday evening and an engagement shoot Sunday evening. Liss and Peyt might be coming up for a night or two and if so we will be doing a little family shoot with the three of them on Saturday. :)  Glad to have another weekend at home!


I'm *hopefully* going to Danville on Thursday to hang with the girls and visit with little Claudia again. Time to get my fix...missing them!!

Claudia Jane

One of my best friends Frannie  had her sweet baby girl, Claudia Jane, on April 5th at 9:59am! She weighed 8 lbs and 14 ounces and she was 21 inches long. These first pictures are in the nursery right after she had her first bath. Naturally, after her bath was completely over I remembered to grab my camera. Ugh.

aaaaaaand I took a ton of other pics so figured I would just share them all. All her different faces are so cute!

Last week I went to Danville to visit for a couple days and got lots of QT with little Claudia and her mama! She is 7 days old in these pics..and she looks so different than at the hospital...don't you think?

Lady not so sure about this new kid in her house! 

She is so dang cute!!  Can't wait to go see her again soon.
