28 weeks

How far along: 28 weeks!

Size of baby: An eggplant

Total weight gain/loss: Went to the doctor today and OMG. The number on the scale was scary! I've gained 27 lbs! 10 lbs in 4 weeks! Sheet. I was kind of bummed at first but I have to remind myself I am healthy, baby is healthy, and I will get this weight off plus some once little James is here.

Maternity clothes: Yessss

Gender: Sweet baby boy! James Austin Green!

Movement: Lots of movement and as he gets bigger his kicks are getting stronger! Ow!

Sleep: Sleep has totally gone down hill the past week. I have a good night every other night it seems. I just wake up in the middle of the night wide awake and can't go back to sleep. Damn hormones.

What I miss: Really can't think of anything besides sleep I guess? Or being able to lay on my stomach.

Cravings: Nothing new really, still crazy over some orange juice, cucumbers and anything sweet.

Best moment this past week: The nursery progress, see below. (and going to the doctor today and hearing sweet babe's heart beat!)

Symptoms: This right hand numbness/tingling/carpel tunnel is NOT fun. That is my biggest symptom right now. Back pain every night, burping a lot again, and just general uncomfortableness/feeling largeeeee.

What I'm looking forward to: The nursery is starting to come together. We finished the paint and board and batten and put the crib together. The dresser had been sitting in a box for a month so it was exciting to pull that little guy out too. I'm looking forward to getting it all put together. I'll post a few pics below.

Milestones: His lungs are mature enough to breathe on his own. We of course want him to bake much much longer but there is something comforting about knowing if he was born now his survival rate is really high.

Mood: happy girl!

Labor Signs: no no no

Wedding rings on or off: on

Here is what we have so far. Dad finished the crown moulding, board and batten and the paint this weekend. The board and batten was a HUGE job. I absolutely love it but it took forever! I'll try to blog step by step on how we (he) did it.

We set up the crib and put the dresser in the room too. Still lots to do in there but I love the progress we've made so far!
